Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information PMRPrep collects, why, and what you can do about it. PMRPrep is operated by JB Chadwell as a sole proprietorship based in Kentucky, United States.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what the service needs to work:

• Account information. Your email address and an encrypted password, handled by our authentication provider.
• Study activity. Quizzes you start, questions you answer, your selected answers, whether they were correct, categories practiced, and timestamps. This is what powers your dashboard, progress tracking, and analytics.
• Purchase records. Which plan you bought, when, and when your access expires, plus an identifier linking you to your payment processor record.
• Content reports. If you report a question, we store the report and which question it concerns.
• Limited technical data. Standard server logs from our hosting provider, and a cookie used to track free-preview usage before you create an account.

We never receive or store your payment card details. Card information goes directly to Stripe and is never visible to us.

2. How we use it

• to create and secure your account
• to deliver quizzes and save your progress
• to show your performance history and analytics
• to determine whether you have active paid access
• to send account emails such as confirmation and password reset
• to investigate reported content errors
• to detect misuse and protect the service

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not run advertising on PMRPrep.

3. Aggregate performance data

We may use answer data in aggregate and de-identified form to calculate comparison statistics, such as average scores by category. These statistics never identify any individual user.

4. Service providers

We rely on a small number of third parties, each of which handles data under its own privacy policy:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Vercel — website hosting
• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — transactional email delivery

5. Marketing email

We send transactional emails needed to operate your account. If we ever send optional announcement emails, each will include an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing will not affect your access.

6. Cookies

We use cookies only for functional purposes: keeping you signed in, and tracking how many preview questions an unregistered visitor has answered. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

7. Data retention

We keep your account and study history for as long as your account exists, so your progress remains available across access periods. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your account and study data. Records we are required to keep for tax or accounting purposes, such as transaction records, are retained as required by law.

8. Your choices

You may ask us to:

• tell you what information we hold about you
• correct inaccurate information
• delete your account and associated study data
• provide a copy of your data

Email support@pmrprep.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. You can change your password at any time from your account page.

9. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls that restrict user data to the application itself. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

10. Children

PMRPrep is intended for medical residents and physicians and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. International users

PMRPrep is operated from the United States and your information is stored and processed there. If you use PMRPrep from outside the United States, you consent to that transfer.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the Last updated date above.
